This German band comes back from a long hiatus, a near complete musician overhaul, and a newer more refined sound, to release one of their best efforts to date. They have always been a band that treads that fine line between power and melodic progressive metal, with progressive being the least of the three character attributes. Be that as it may, what this band does, is highly melodic music, short songs, all revolving around their new singer - Misha Mang.
While this cd doesn't tickle my taste for more progressive oriented metal music, it does have an appeal that I do find enjoyable, perhaps it's the style from which the band writes, it's as if they have detailed their sound around the more lyrical side of progmetals' icons, and left out all the bombastic instrumental interplay.
They do have an appealling vibe about them, in a similar way bands like - Vanden Plas, Lions Share do, and though this cd represents a nice comeback for the band after a long hiatus, it may not have enough uniqueness or ambition behind it to start a new era for the band, time will tell.
